Regular Season Round 11: FiberXers - Blackwater Elite 98-90

There was no surprise in Makati where 12th ranked Blackwater Elite (1-8) was defeated by fourth ranked FiberXers (5-2) 98-90 on Thursday. FiberXers outrebounded Blackwater Elite 50-35 including 38 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American Jamaal Franklin (196-1991, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Maverick Ahanmisi (188-1991, college: Minnesota) helped adding 31 points and 4 assists. Four FiberXers players scored in double figures. American forward Shawn Glover (201-1990, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Jeth Troy Rosario (201-1992) scored 20 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. FiberXers moved-up to third place. Blackwater Elite lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. FiberXers will meet Phoenix (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Blackwater Elite will play against North Port and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
