Very predictable result when second ranked Bars (19-1) won against 10th ranked ChelSU (6-14) in Kostanay 86-73. Bars dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to ChelSU's 34. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-1994) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Artem Parfenov (196-1998) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Dmitriy Luchko (193-1997) with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds and guard Artem Pedko (191-2000) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). ChelSU's coach Alexander Derbush rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Bars. They maintain second place with 19-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Shymkent. Newly promoted ChelSU keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Bars will play against Gotobeles (#8) in Nur-Sultan in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ChelSU will play on the road against Caspiy Aktau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
