Regular Season Round 33: Goyang - Seoul Thunders 92-86

Everything went according to plan in Daegu where fifth ranked Goyang (20-20) beat bottom-ranked Seoul Thunders (12-31) 92-86 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Goyang made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-1991) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Darral Willis (205-1996, college: Wichita St.) who recorded 30 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Dong-Hyuk Shin (191-2000) added 16 points respectively. Four Seoul Thunders players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Goyang maintains fifth place with 20-20 record. Seoul Thunders lost their third game in a row. They stay dead last with 31 lost games. Goyang will meet at home KCC Egis (#8) in the next round. Seoul Thunders will play against Mobis Phoebus and hope to secure a win.
