Regular Season Round 38: Bambitious N. - Saga B. 76-77

Sixth-ranked Bambitious N. (12-28) gave a tough game to first ranked Saga B. (33-7) in Nara. The visitors from Saga managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected much easier game. Saga B. made 26-of-29 charity shots (89.7 percent) during the game, while Bambitious N. only scored seven points from the stripe. Bambitious N. was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American Chase Fieler (202-1992, college: FGCU) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and the former international forward Takanobu Nishikawa (195-1992) supported him with 27 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Even a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds by Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-1987, college: Cincinnati) did not help to save the game for Bambitious N.. The former international forward Naoki Uto (188-1991) added 15 points and 8 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Saga B. have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 33-7 record. Bambitious N. at the other side keeps the sixth place with 28 games lost. Saga B. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bambitious N. will play again at home against the league's leader Saga B. (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
