Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Shinagawa (3-34) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Saitama (30-7) 93-73 on Saturday. Saitama made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Saitama outrebounded Shinagawa 52-32 including a 39-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Grant Sitton (206-1993, college: Victoria) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) who recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Yuto Sasaki (186-1998) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Saitama maintains third position with 30-7 record having just three points less than leader Shizuoka. Shinagawa at the other side stay dead last with 34 lost games. Saitama will again meet at home bottom-ranked Shinagawa (#16) in the next round which should be another easy win for them.
