Regular Season Round 35: Tachikawa - Tokyo Utd 54-74

Very predictable result when sixth ranked Tokyo Utd (23-13) rolled over on the road 15th ranked Tachikawa (9-27) 74-54 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for American Marcus Dove (206-1985, college: OK State) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Michael Craig (196-1991, college: Southern Miss) accounted for 11 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Point guard Ryusei Abe (181-1995) came up with 16 points and 5 assists and American forward Scott Blakney (203-1998, college: Montana) added 9 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Tachikawa in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo Utd have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Tokyo Utd maintains sixth place with 23-13 record. Tachikawa lost sixth consecutive game. Tachikawa at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth position with 27 games lost. Tokyo Utd will meet at home league's second-placed Iwate in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tachikawa will play against Tokyo HT (#12) and hope to secure a win.
