There was no surprise in Gor Merpati where 10th ranked Bali Utd. (3-6) was defeated by sixth ranked Rans Pik (6-2) 83-72 on Sunday. Rans Pik forced 20 Bali Utd. turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian center Duom Dawam (204-1996) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and David Nuban (186-1998) who added 17 points during the contest. Five Rans Pik players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-1987, college: USF) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Jay Bowie (196-1992, college: Marist, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rans Pik have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pelita Jaya and Bima Perkasa. Loser Bali Utd. dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. They share it with Hangtuah. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
