Very expected game when 12th ranked Tokyo HT (11-25) was smashed on the road by second ranked Iwate (31-5) 82-49 on Sunday. Iwate shot 23 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Tokyo HT only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Tokyo HT 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-1996, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-1997, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 17 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Senegalese forward Bamba Diouf (198-1993) came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Kodai Takahashi (180-1991) added 13 points respectively for Tokyo HT in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iwate maintains second place with 31-5 record behind leader Shizuoka. Tokyo HT lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 25 games lost. Iwate will meet Tokyo Utd (#6) on the road in the next round. Tokyo HT will play against Tachikawa (#15) and hope to secure a win.
