Regular Season Round 32: Seoul Knights - LG Sakers 84-94

An interesting game for LG Sakers (27-15) which played road game in Seoul against 4th ranked Seoul Knights (24-18). Second ranked LG Sakers managed to get a 10-point victory 94-84. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Seoul Knights. LG Sakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 20 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Kwang-jin Lee (194-1997) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four LG Sakers players scored in double figures. LG Sakers' coach Sung-Won Cho used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) replied with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Sunh-Yung Kim (187-1988) added 17 points and 8 assists in the effort for Seoul Knights. LG Sakers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 27-15 record having five points less than leader Anyang. Defending champion Seoul Knights keep the fourth place with 18 games lost. LG Sakers are looking forward to face Goyang (#5) in Daegu in the next round. Seoul Knights will play at home against the league's leader Anyang and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
