Regular Season Round 37: Bambitious N. - Fukushima 76-77

Sixth-ranked Bambitious N. (12-27) used its home court advantage to challenge fourth ranked Fukushima (18-21) in Nara. The visitors from Fukushima managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected easier game. Fukushima players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-1990, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) stepped up and scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Daiki Tsuchiya (168-2000) chipped in 17 points. At the losing side Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-1987, college: Cincinnati) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and the former international forward Naoki Uto (188-1991) scored 18 points. Four Bambitious N. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fukushima moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Bambitious N. at the other side keeps the sixth position with 27 games lost. Fukushima will play against Ehime OV (#4) in Matsuyama in the next round. Bambitious N. will play at home against the league's leader Saga B. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
