Regular Season Round 39: Shinshu BW - Hitachi SRT 65-68

The most exciting game of round 39 in the B1 League took place in Nagano. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd placed Shinshu BW (18-20) to fourth ranked Hitachi SRT (16-20) 68-65 on Sunday evening. It was a good game for American forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import forward James McAdoo (206-1993, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Hitachi SRT players scored in double figures. American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-1995, college: WSU) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Ko Kumagai (173-1996) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Shinshu BW. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Hitachi SRT have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 16-20 record. Shinshu BW at the other side keeps the third position with 20 games lost. They share it with FE Nagoya and Osaka E.. Hitachi SRT are looking forward to face Toyama G. (#7) at home in the next round. Shinshu BW will play against the league's second-placed Yokohama BC (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
