Regular Season Round 34: Shizuoka - Kanazawa 100-83

Leader Shizuoka delivered the 31th victory. This time they beat 13th ranked Kanazawa (10-25) 100-83. They outrebounded Kanazawa 47-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Shizuoka players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Kanazawa's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds. Argentinian forward Alexis Elsener (195-1988, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Shizuoka players scored in double figures. Point guard Yugo Okuda (176-1999) replied with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Antypov (203-1995, agency: BIG) added 19 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Kanazawa. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shizuoka have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 31-4 record. Kanazawa lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 25 games lost. Shizuoka will again play against Kanazawa (#13) in Ishikawa in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Kanazawa will have a break next round.
