Regular Season Round 35: Fukushima - Koshigaya A. 70-84

The game between Top Four teams took place in Fukushima. 4th placed host Fukushima (17-20) lost to second ranked Koshigaya A. (28-9) 84-70. Koshigaya A. outrebounded Fukushima 46-28 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Koshigaya A. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Shun Matsuyama (175-1996) chipped in 30 points and 4 assists. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-1989, college: Kentucky) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Tomonobu Hasegawa (184-1990) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Koshigaya A. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Chiba. Loser Fukushima keeps the fourth place with 20 games lost. They share the position with Ehime OV. Koshigaya A. will meet at home Kumamoto V. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fukushima will play against Bambitious N. in Nara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
