Regular Season Round 35: Aomori W. - Yamagata 65-67

The most exciting game of round 35 in the B2 League took place in Aomori. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd placed Aomori W. (18-19) to sixth ranked Yamagata (15-22) 67-65 on Sunday evening. It was a great evening for American James Bell (196-1992, college: Villanova, agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Panamanian center Javier Carter (203-1991, college: USA, agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 10 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward EJ Montgomery (208-1999, college: Kentucky) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St.) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Aomori W.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Yamagata maintains sixth place with 15-22 record. Aomori W. at the other side keeps the third position with 19 games lost. Yamagata are looking forward to face higher ranked Nishinomiya S. (#5) in Hyogo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aomori W. will play on the road against the league's leader Saga B. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
