Important game to mention about took place in Singapore. First ranked Hong Kong HK Eastern (7-3) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Singapore Singapore S. (5-4) 85-83 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Singapore S.. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian-Australian swingman Dominic Gilbert (198, college: UBC, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Canadian center Chris McLaughlin (208, college: Victoria) who added 21 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four HK Eastern players scored in double figures. American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with 26 points, 8 assists and 6 steals and his fellow American import center CJ Gettys (213-1994, college: Rutgers, agency: Haylett Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Despite that victory HK Eastern went down to third position due to points difference. Singapore S. at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. HK Eastern will play against league's leader Heat in Saigon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Singapore S. will play on the road against Macau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
