Regular Season Round 32: Veertien Mie - Shinagawa 78-63
Date: February 4, 2023
Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Shinagawa (2-31) lost to twelfth ranked Veertien Mie (11-22) in Yokkaichi 63-78 on Saturday. The winners were led by American Eugene Artison (206-1995, college: USAO, agency: One Motive Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Tucker Haymond (198-1994, college: W.Michigan) supported him with 23 points and 4 assists. Four Veertien Mie players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds by American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) did not help to save the game for Shinagawa. Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Veertien Mie moved-up to tenth place. Loser Shinagawa stay dead last with 31 lost games. Veertien Mie will again meet at home bottom-ranked Shinagawa (#16) in the next round where they are favorite. Shinagawa will have a break next round.
