Regular Season Round 28: KoGas - Suwon KT 73-76
Date: February 4, 2023
Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Suwon KT (17-21) edged 9th ranked KoGas (13-23) in Inchon 76-73 on Saturday. Suwon KT looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by Hungarian-American power forward Jarrod Jones (207-1990, college: Ball St.) who scored that evening 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Yoongi Ha (203-1999) supported him with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Even 23 points and 7 assists by the former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) did not help to save the game for KoGas. The former international forward Dae-Heon Lee (198-1992) added 15 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Suwon KT maintains sixth position with 17-21 record. KoGas lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 23 games lost. Suwon KT will meet at home league's leader Anyang in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. KoGas will play against the league's second-placed LG Sakers (#2) and hope to secure a win.
