The game between Top Four teams took place in Almaty. 3rd placed host Tomiris (10-6) were smashed by leader Turan (15-0) 86-53. Turan forced 20 Tomiris turnovers and outrebounded them 46-22 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-1986, agency: BIG) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international forward Zalina Kurazova (185-1985) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Valeriya Kapitonova (176-2001) came up with 15 points and Ukrainian guard Elizaveta Mitina (172-1998) added 12 points respectively for Tomiris in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Turan have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-0 record. Newly promoted Tomiris dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Turan will play against Caspiy Aktau (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Tomiris will play against the league's second-placed Astana Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
