Regular Season Round 31: Tokyo HT - Okayama 80-84

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Okayama (20-12) beat on the road 10th ranked Tokyo HT (11-21) 84-80 on Sunday. Okayama shot 27 for 48 from the free-throw line, while Tokyo HT only scored nine points from the stripe. It was a great evening for American power forward DeVaughn Washington (203-1989, college: Ohio, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-1991) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Okayama players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and guard Hiroya Ogane (180-1989) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Okayama maintains sixth place with 20-12 record. Tokyo HT at the other side keeps the tenth position with 21 games lost. Okayama will meet at home Toyoda (#9) in the next round. Tokyo HT's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Utd.
