Regular Season Round 25: Seoul Knights - Goyang 82-80

The most exciting game of round 25 in the KBL took place in Seoul. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Goyang (16-16) to fourth ranked Seoul Knights (18-15) 82-80 in the game for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Goyang. Seoul Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Goyang's 34 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Goyang 37-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international Joon-Young Choi (200-1994) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-1991) added 22 points in the effort for Goyang. Five Seoul Knights and four Goyang players scored in double figures. Goyang's coach Byong-Chul Kim tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 18-15 record. Goyang at the other side keeps the fifth position with 16 games lost. Seoul Knights are looking forward to face KoGas (#9) in Inchon in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Goyang will play on the road against Suwon KT (#8) in Busan and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
