Rather predictable result in Nagano where first ranked Chiba Jets (27-4) smashed 3rd ranked Shinshu BW (16-15) 89-70 on Saturday. Chiba Jets looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) who scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international power forward Gavin Edwards (206-1988, college: UConn) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. American Anthony McHenry (202-1983, college: Georgia Tech) produced 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Yuta Okada (189-1998) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets have an impressive 13-game winning streak.
