The game in Zamboanga City supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Vietnamese Heat (6-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Filipino Valientes (3-5). Heat smashed Valientes 101-79. They outrebounded Valientes 46-33 including 34 on the defensive glass. Heat players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Valientes' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Evan Gilyard II (178-1998, college: UMKC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 7 rebounds and 14 assists. His fellow American import power forward Jeremy Combs (201-1995, college: Texas Southern) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Antonio Hester (198-1990, college: Mobile, AL) answered with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Filipino-Canadian forward James Kwekuteye (191-1998) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Valientes. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Vietnamese champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with HK Eastern and NS Matrix. Valientes lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth place with five games lost.
