Regular Season Round 31: Hitachi SRT - Shinshu BW 71-91

An interesting game for Shinshu BW (16-14) which played road game in Tokyo against 4th placed Hitachi SRT (12-16). Third ranked Shinshu BW had an easy win 91-71. Shinshu BW made 22-of-22 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-1995, college: WSU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Swingman Reo Maeda (191-1997) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. American forward James McAdoo (206-1993, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Hitachi SRT in the defeat. Hitachi SRT's coach Tsutomu Isa tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Shinshu BW maintains third place with 16-14 record having just two points less than leader Hiroshima D. Hitachi SRT lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with 16 games lost. Shinshu BW will meet at home league's leader Chiba Jets in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hitachi SRT will play against San-en NP (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
