Regular Season Round 27: Tokyo Utd - Kanazawa 82-67

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Kanazawa (9-19) lost on the road to seventh ranked Tokyo Utd (18-10) 82-67. Tokyo Utd outrebounded Kanazawa 43-22 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for South Sudanese-American center Angelo Chol (206-1993, college: SDSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. American swingman Michael Craig (196-1991, college: Southern Miss) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Tokyo Utd's coach Masaki Hayamizu allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was guard Tomoki Kuriyama (190-1999) with 20 points and power forward Kota Yamamoto (204-1998) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Tokyo Utd have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Kanazawa lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Veertien Mie. Tokyo Utd will play against Okayama (#7) on the road in the next round. Kanazawa will play against Gifu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
