Regular Season Round 4: Yulon Luxgen - Taiwan Beer 70-77

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Yulon Luxgen (2-2) against fourth ranked Taiwan Beer on Sunday night. Taiwan Beer were defeated by fourth ranked Taiwan Beer (2-2) 77-70. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Taiwan Beer outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 36-22 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jordan Tolbert (200-1992, college: SMU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Nigerian forward Gabriel Humphery (195-1997) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international Bamba Sarr (200-1997) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-1986, college: UAB) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Yulon Luxgen. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiwan Beer moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Yulon Luxgen. Taiwan Beer is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Changhua (#4) at home in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play against the league's leader Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
