Regular Season Round 26: Toyoda - Saitama 77-96

Very predictable result in Aichi where fourth ranked Saitama (21-6) outscored 13th ranked Toyoda (8-19) 96-77 on Saturday. American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Grant Sitton (206-1993, college: Victoria) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Saitama players scored in double figures. Saitama's coach Shugaku Izumi used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. German center Yasin Kolo (208-1992, college: Bellarmine) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 24 rebounds and Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-1991, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Saitama maintains fourth position with 21-6 record. Toyoda lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Yamaguchi. Saitama will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toyoda will play again against Saitama (#4) and hope to secure a win.
