Rather expected game in Al-Awamiyah where 9th ranked Al Salam (4-13) was defeated by sixth ranked Al Wehda (10-7) 75-69. Al Wehda forced 20 Al Salam turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Point guard Chauncey Collins (183-1995, college: TCU) nailed 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and forward Dewayne Jackson (203-1990, college: Morgan St.) accounted for 12 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Four Al Wehda players scored in double figures. Center Anthony McClain (211-1988, college: Cincinnati) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 22 rebounds and forward Nick Stover (198-1993, college: USA) added 15 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals respectively for Al Salam in the defeat. Al Wehda maintains sixth place with 10-7 record. Al Salam lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Al Wehda will play against higher ranked Al Hilal (#5) in Riyadh in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
