No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Tochigi Brex (13-16) defeated at home 7th ranked Sendai 89ers (8-21) 62-55 on Wednesday. American power forward Josh Scott (208-1993, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 21 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Tongan-New Zealand Isaac Fotu (203-1993, college: Hawaii) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Justin Burrell (207-1988, college: St.John's) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import Nathan Boothe (206-1994, college: Toledo) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 13-16 record. Sendai 89ers lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the seventh place with 21 games lost. Tochigi Brex will meet Hokkaido L. (#8) in the next round. Sendai 89ers will play against Akita NH and hope to secure a win.
