Very predictable result when fourth ranked Toyota BSR (10-4) rolled over 13th ranked Niigata R. (2-10) in Tokyo 78-58 on Saturday. Toyota BSR dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata R.'s 36 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Niigata R. 46-25 including a 25-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Toyota BSR looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international center Miyuki Kawamura (185-1994) nailed 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and international Nanako Todo (175-2000) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Toyota BSR players scored in double figures. Naomi Kitagawa (174-1994) came up with 10 points and 8 rebounds and center Naomi Kume (178-1997) added 11 points respectively for Niigata R. in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Toyota BSR. They maintain fourth place with 10-4 record. Niigata R. lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Toyota BSR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
