Regular Season Round 24: Shinagawa - Tokyo HT 76-66

Date: January 7, 2023
Shinagawa can celebrate finally their first win this season after 25 consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Tokyo HT (10-16) 76-66 on Saturday. Shinagawa looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Daiki Uematsu (187-1990) chipped in 6 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and his fellow American import power forward Justin Baker (203-1989, college: Utah Valley) added 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shinagawa maintains sixteenth position with 1-25 record. Tokyo HT at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Gifu. Shinagawa are again looking forward to face higher ranked Tokyo HT (#9) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tokyo HT will have a break next round.
