Regular Season Round 3: Saigon Heat - Louvre S. 108-47

Rather predictable result in Saigon where Vietnamese Heat (4-0) smashed Indonesian Louvre S. (1-2) 108-47 on Saturday. Heat held Louvre S. to an opponent 24.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 53.9 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Louvre S. 55-34 including a 46-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Heat looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Louvre S.'s players. The best player for the winners was American guard Evan Gilyard II (178-1998, college: UMKC) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow American import forward Hassan Thomas (203-1996, college: Emporia St.) chipped in 9 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Indonesian Jamarr Johnson (198-1988, college: Widener) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and American Marcus Hammonds (196-1987, college: TAMUCC) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Heat will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Louvre S. will play against HK Eastern (#2) and hope to win that game.
