We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fourth ranked Beirut Club (9-2) beat at home one of their biggest challengers Al Riyadi (9-2) 88-80 on Monday. Beirut Club made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. The former international power forward Mohamad Haidar (203-1990, college: Michigan Tech) scored 28 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Kenny Hayes (189-1987, college: Miami, OH) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. The former international guard Wael Arakji (194-1994) responded with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international guard Amir Saoud (186-1991) scored 18 points and 4 assists.
