There was a minor upset in Daegu where 6th ranked Goyang (11-13) was edged by ninth ranked KoGas (11-15) 84-81 on Saturday. KoGas outrebounded Goyang 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) who added 31 points during the contest. KoGas' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and international guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-1991) scored 24 points. Four Goyang players scored in double figures. KoGas maintains ninth position with 11-15 record. Goyang lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Wonju DB. KoGas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Goyang will play against KCC Egis (#5) in Jeonju and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
