Regular Season Round 25: Aomori W. - Saga B. 83-88

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Aomori W. (12-16) was defeated at home by first ranked Saga B. (22-6) 88-83 on Friday. Saga B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-1990) stepped up and scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and the former international forward Takanobu Nishikawa (195-1992) chipped in 22 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the losing side American forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St.) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import center Max Hisatake (203-1998, college: IlIinois Tech) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Aomori W. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Saga B. have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 22-6 record, which they share with Koshigaya A. Loser Aomori W. dropped to the fifth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Nishinomiya S.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
