Regular Season Round 24: San-en NP - Nagoya DD 94-80

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Nagoya DD (17-7) against fifth ranked San-en NP (11-13) on Wednesday night. Visiting Nagoya DD was defeated by San-en NP in Hamamatsu 94-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nagoya DD. San-en NP shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Kazuki Hosokawa (187-1997) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds and American center Kyle O'Quinn (206-1990, college: Norfolk St., agency: Pensack Sports) who added 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Coty Clarke (201-1992, college: Arkansas) with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-1995) scored 18 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. San-en NP moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tochigi Brex and Shinshu BW. Loser Nagoya DD dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. San-en NP will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nagoya DD will play against Hitachi SRT (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
