Very important is a home loss of second ranked LG Sakers (15-10) against seventh ranked KCC Egis (11-13) on Monday night. Host LG Sakers were defeated by KCC Egis in Changwon 101-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of LG Sakers. They outrebounded LG Sakers 36-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. KCC Egis shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Guna Ra (203-1989, college: Missouri) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Woong Heo (183-1993) accounted for 23 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four KCC Egis players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) came up with 22 points and 7 assists and Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for LG Sakers in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KCC Egis have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. LG Sakers at the other side keep the second position with ten games lost. KCC Egis will play against Wonju DB (#7) on the road in the next round. LG Sakers will play against Seoul Knights (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
