Regular Season Round 18: Mobis Phoebus - KoGas 76-70

Rather expected game when 6th ranked KoGas (10-13) lost to third ranked Mobis Phoebus (13-9) in Ulsan 70-76 on Sunday. Mobis Phoebus outrebounded KoGas 50-39 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international forward Woosuk Lee (196-1999) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international power forward Ji-Hoon Ham (198-1984) supported him with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points and 18 rebounds by American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for KoGas. The former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) added 27 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mobis Phoebus maintains third position with 13-9 record having four points less than leader Anyang. KoGas lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with KCC Egis. Mobis Phoebus will meet bottom-ranked Suwon KT (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KoGas will have a break next round.
