Date: December 24, 2022
No shocking result in a game when first ranked Shizuoka (22-2) smashed at home 15th ranked Tachikawa (6-18) 86-56 on Saturday. Shizuoka dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tachikawa's 20. Shizuoka had a 30-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Argentinian forward Alexis Elsener (195-1988, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Worth to mention Miller played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. At the losing side American forward Tristin Walley (201-1996, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) responded with 9 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Jota Machii (182-1999) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shizuoka have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-2 record. Tachikawa lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth place with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
