Regular Season Round 13: Kings - Fubon Braves 106-101

An exciting game was when First ranked Kings faced their biggest opponent Fubon Braves. Kings (8-3) defeated Fubon Braves (7-5) 106-101. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fubon Braves. Kings made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Fubon Braves 62-41 including a 24-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kings made 7 blocks. American-British center Byron Mullens (213-1989, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international center Chin-Min Yang (190-1984) chipped in 29 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) produced 22 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and the other American import power forward Chris Johnson (210-1985, college: LSU) added 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kings maintains first place with 8-3 record. Fubon Braves at the other side dropped to the third position with five games lost. Kings are looking forward to face Dreamers (#4) in Changhua in the next round. Fubon Braves will play at home against the league's second-placed Pilots and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
