The game with biggest result difference took place in Jinjiang. Local Sturgeons (2-14) were outscored by third ranked Flying Leopards (12-4) 138-87 on Wednesday night. Flying Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Sturgeons' 48. They outrebounded Sturgeons 63-26 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Flying Leopards looked well-organized offensively handing out 45 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Sturgeons' players. The former international center Hao Fu (208-1997) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds (on 23-of-28 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international Zhenlin Zhang (206-1999, college: Tulane) chipped in 19 points, 17 rebounds and 9 assists. Bulgarian-American point guard Darius Adams (188-1989, college: Indianapolis) responded with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Yansong Sun (206-2000) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains third place with 12-4 record having just one point less than leader Zhejiang GB. Sturgeons lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the nineteenth position with 14 games lost. Flying Leopards will meet Blue Whales (#17) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Sturgeons will have a break next round.
