There was a surprise result in Taiyuan where twelfth ranked Guangsha Lions (9-8) won against higher ranked Loongs (9-6) 100-84 on Tuesday. Guangsha Lions looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international Yanhao Zhao (194-1997) fired 35 points (!!!) for the winners. The former international guard Minghui Sun (187-1996) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 15 assists. Five Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. American power forward Greg Monroe (211-1990, college: Georgetown) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and ChunJun Zhang (196-1987) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Loongs' coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Guangsha Lions moved-up to ninth place. Loongs lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
