Top ranked Anyang (16-6) recorded its sixth loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Seoul Knights (12-12) 82-81. Seoul Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Anyang's 30. Strangely Anyang outrebounded Seoul Knights 43-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds. The former international Joon-Young Choi (200-1994) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Filipino Rhenz Abando (188-1998) produced 30 points and 6 rebounds and American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Anyang players scored in double figures. Anyang's coach Seung-Ki Kim rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Anyang at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Seoul Knights are looking forward to face higher ranked Mobis Phoebus (#3) in Ulsan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Anyang will play at home against the league's second-placed LG Sakers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
