An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Changwon. Second ranked LG Sakers faced 4th placed Goyang. Host LG Sakers (14-9) defeated guests from Daegu (11-10) 79-73. LG Sakers outrebounded Goyang 45-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and the former international center Jun-Yl Kim (202-1992) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. LG Sakers' coach Sung-Won Cho used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists and international guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-1991) scored 21 points. LG Sakers maintains second place with 14-9 record having just one point less than leader Anyang. Loser Goyang dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. LG Sakers will meet league's leader Anyang on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Goyang will play against KCC Egis (#9) in Jeonju and hope to secure a win.
