Very important is a road loss of third ranked Aomori W. (10-11) against sixth ranked Kagawa FA (8-13) on Sunday night. Visiting Aomori W. was defeated by Kagawa FA in Takamatsu 81-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Aomori W.. They outrebounded Aomori W. 47-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. At the losing side American center Max Hisatake (203-1998, college: IlIinois Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St.) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Aomori W.'s coach rotated eleven players saving starting five for next games. Kagawa FA moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Fukuoka R. and Fukushima. Loser Aomori W. keeps the third position with 11 games lost. They share it with Ehime OV and Yamagata. Kagawa FA will meet Bambitious N. (#7) in the next round. Aomori W. will play against Fukushima (#6) and hope to secure a win.
