Regular Season Round 8: Eneos S. - Yamanashi QB 93-69

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Yamanashi QB (2-6) was outscored by seventh ranked Eneos S. (5-3) in Kashiwa 93-69 on Sunday. Eneos S. had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by the former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (183-1993) who scored that evening 24 points and 8 rebounds and the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-1991) supported her with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 21 points by forward Aimi Wakahara (171-1996) did not help to save the game for Yamanashi QB. Point guard Honoka Tsuchida (165-1997) added 15 points and 4 assists for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Eneos S. have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Toyota BSR. Loser Yamanashi QB keeps the tenth position with six games lost. They share it with Haneda V. and Aranmare A.. Eneos S. will meet Haneda V. (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Yamanashi QB will play against the league's second-placed Toyota A. in Nagoya and hope to secure a win.
