The game between 14th ranked Himeji E. (1-7) and eighth ranked Aishin AW (3-5) in Himeji on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Anjo outscored Himeji E. 104-50. Aishin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Himeji E.'s 32 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Aishin AW forced 23 Himeji E. turnovers and outrebounded them 46-28 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Himeji E.'s players. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aishin AW maintains eighth position with 3-5 record, which they share with Hitachi Cougars. Himeji E. lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Aishin AW will meet Niigata R. (#13) in the next round where they are favorite. Himeji E. will play against Chanson V-M and hope to win that game.
