Regular Season Round 18: Okayama - Kanazawa 75-74

Tenth-ranked Kanazawa (7-13) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Okayama (15-5) on Saturday. Okayama managed to secure only one-point victory 75-74. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-1991) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). American power forward DeVaughn Washington (203-1989, college: Ohio, agency: Mansfield and Associates) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Okayama's coach Kenji Hilke used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Antypov (203-1995, agency: BIG) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Ukrainian point guard Igor Boyarkin (182-1995, agency: BIG) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Four Okayama and five Kanazawa players scored in double figures. Okayama moved-up to fourth place. Loser Kanazawa keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
