Regular Season Round 7: Toyota BSR - Mitsubishi K. 57-59

The biggest surprise of round 7 was guest Mitsubishi K.'s (6-1) road victory over Toyota BSR (#4) 59-57 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The former international Yuka Kosuge (181-1991) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international Aya Watanabe (168-1992) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Center Baiq Ghua (185-1992) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Saki Iijima (173-1992) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mitsubishi K. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fujitsu RW and Toyota A. Toyota BSR at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Mitsubishi K. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toyota BSR will play again at home against the league's second-placed Mitsubishi K. (#2) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
