Regular Season Round 12: Al Hilal - Al Adalah 108-80
Date: December 9, 2022
There was no surprise in Riyadh where 10th ranked Al Adalah (3-9) was crushed by sixth ranked Al Hilal (8-5) 108-80 on Friday. Al Hilal dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Al Adalah's 54. They outrebounded Al Adalah 44-28 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Hilal looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Mohammed Alsuwailem (211-1998) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 21 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas) who added 38 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds during the contest. Al Hilal's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Russian forward Andrey Semenov (200-1990, college: JMU) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Tunisian swingman Islem Elajmi (196-1991) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Al Hilal will meet league's leader Al Ahli in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Al Adalah will play against Al Fateh (#5) and hope to secure a win.
