Higher League top team - Bars (13-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Barsy 2 (5-9) in Petropavlovsk 80-45. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Barsy 2. They held Barsy 2 to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 48.1 percent accuracy of the winners and made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Bars outrebounded Barsy 2 40-23 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-1994) nailed 31 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Anatoly Alash (175-2003) accounted for 5 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Begzod Mammatrimov (198-2004) came up with 7 points and 8 rebounds and guard Akylbek Oralbekov (186-2002) added 13 points respectively for Barsy 2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Bars. They maintain first place with 13-1 record. Barsy 2 at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with Caspiy Aktau. Bars will play against Gotobeles (#6) in Nur-Sultan in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Barsy 2 will play at home against the league's second-placed Almaty L. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
